A benchmark event for the packaging sector
On June 19 and 20, the Packaging Cluster held its most emblematic annual event: the General Assembly and Packaging Talks. Every year this event brings together professionals, industrial companies, technology centers and institutions linked to the world of packaging, in an environment designed to share knowledge, reflect collectively and strengthen links between organizations.
This year’s edition took place at the Empordà Golf Resort, a privileged setting that welcomed more than 150 people linked to the sector. The event combined the review of the main strategic axes of the cluster with a dynamic agenda of presentations on trends, innovation, talent, management and technology. Two intense days that consolidate the Packaging Talks as a key platform to continue growing our sector through collaboration and shared vision.
This year Rieusset is participating as a sponsor of the event, reaffirming our commitment to the development of the sector and to the Packaging Cluster itself, of which we are active members. Supporting this type of meetings allows us to connect with other voices of the ecosystem, learning from diverse experiences and valuing innovation as a common driver.
Reflections that inspire: innovation, strategy and new perspectives
Thursday afternoon’s session began with a well-organized activity by the event team: a cocktail workshop that made it easy for attendees to connect. Beyond its fun format, it allowed us to reconnect with familiar faces and talk with others we had only briefly crossed paths with before. In teams, we created our own cocktails, and a small jury selected the most creative ones
Following this activity, the Cluster’s General Assembly was held, during which the work carried out over the past year was reviewed. This was followed by a very moving talk by Álex Roca, athlete and motivational speaker. His presentation on overcoming challenges, maintaining a positive attitude, and resilience resonated deeply with both the personal and professional concerns of many attendees.

The June 20 session started with an institutional welcome by Martina Font, president of the cluster, followed by a presentation by Josep Lluis Sánchez Brugarola, who spoke about the contradictions that emerge in innovation processes, a very well-structured presentation that gave us useful tools to interpret the complexity of the changes in our organizations.

Throughout the morning, the program also included an interesting round table on management in family businesses, with representatives from Carinsa, Leng-d’Or and Pere Valls; and a talk by Enrico Nebbia on the value of the sales team in B2B environments.

One of the presentations that most caught our attention was the conversation between Gemma de les Coves and Eloi Planes, which explored the relationship between science and business innovation from a less usual approach. As summed up by our Managing Director, Jordi López, it was a proposal that made us “transcend the everyday and enter a more complex world – one which perhaps we should visit more often”.
The final segment was concluded by Jordi Prat Camps, who shared practical examples of how artificial intelligence is being applied in industrial settings. His presentation effectively grounded complex concepts and showed us how many of these tools are already part of the daily operations in various companies.

A shared experience that drives change
The Packaging Cluster has been able to consolidate its annual event as something more than an assembly or a technical congress. It is a platform for connecting, active listening and mutual inspiration, where companies not only update their knowledge, but also find new ways to face their own challenges.
We at Rieusset value very positively the focus of this event, the quality of the presentations and the atmosphere generated among professionals with whom, beyond merely sharing a sector, we share concerns, ideas and the willingness to improve. The networking sessions, both during the dinner on Thursday and in the various informal spaces on Friday, were also an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing links and generate new conversations.
Sponsoring this edition has been, for us, a way to contribute to the strengthening of the packaging community and to continue actively participating in the conversations that shape the future of the sector. We understand our responsibility as industry players not only in technical or productive terms, but also in terms of our involvement in spaces for dialogue such as this one that enrich the entire ecosystem.
We would like to thank the Packaging Cluster team, the speakers and all the attendees for their active participation and willingness to share ideas. We will continue to promote this type of collaboration, because at Rieusset we firmly believe that the future of packaging is built through community.
