A new supplier qualification system

Creation of the Gerosa Group’s Supplier Portal

The Gerosa Group has always been committed to guaranteeing its clients products that meet industry standards, requirements and best practices. The company believes that to achieve this, each actor in the supply chain must ensure a proper contribution to the creation of the products and services demanded by the market.

In this context, it is vital to have a controlled supplier supply chain that operates in a coordinated manner for all Gerosa Group companies. Just like the correct management of purchasing processes and relations with suppliers –in compliance with the Policies, the Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct for Suppliers– it is an essential element to guarantee the excellence of its products and to consolidate its position and competitiveness in the sector.

The Gerosa Group has implemented a supplier portal that aims to qualify and monitor suppliers to ensure that relations with its suppliers are consistently based on principles of:

  • Legality
  • Correctness
  • Transparency
  • Quality
  • Sustainability
  • Mutual satisfaction

Through the portal, Gerosa manages all suppliers that are new or already involved with the Group, whether they are direct suppliers, indirect suppliers or suppliers of traded products (purchased and resold). Supplier evaluation also applies to all processes related to procurement and in particular:

  • Sourcing, selection, analysis and qualification of suppliers
  • Procurement of products, equipment, systems and services that are supplied externally
  • Performance monitoring.

How the Supplier Portal works

Let’s take a brief and general look at how the supplier portal platform works.

pasos portal proveedores en

Firstly, all suppliers must register on the portal and complete the questionnaires:

  1. Registration: specifying organization details and user information.
  2. Acceptance phase: accepting documents such as the supplier’s privacy policy or code of conduct, among others.
  3. General questionnaire: provide certifications, key contacts and general information.
  4. Category: identify the category of direct supplier –including suppliers of raw materials intentionally involved in the production of the product and subcontracting suppliers– or indirect –including other suppliers of materials and services (structure, machinery, logistics, etc.).
  5. Questionnaire: provide information on sustainability management and reporting, food quality and safety, business ethics, labor and human rights, etc.

The Gerosa Group then internally evaluates each registration and issues a supplier status systematically and periodically based on the information that is kept up to date, e.g. ISO certifications, sustainability reports, human rights, etc.

Rieusset and the Supplier Portal

At Rieusset, as part of the Gerosa Group, we have already started to register the first suppliers through the portal and have developed a plan for the registration and evaluation of all suppliers in the coming months.

In this context, the proper management of procurement processes and supplier relations, in compliance with the Policies, Code of Ethics and Supplier Code of Conduct, is an essential element to ensure that our products meet quality standards and industry best practices while bringing us closer to achieving our purpose: a more sustainable, safer and healthier future.
