Mahou, at the forefront after 130 years of history
Mahou is a leading brand in the beer sector in Spain, with a record turnover of 1,917.3 million euros in 2023 (10% more than the previous year), with 130 years of brewing history and a track record full of challenges and successes.
Currently, it is not only known for its unmistakable flavor, but also for being a modern and contemporary brand with refreshing and groundbreaking launches such as Mahou Rosé or special editions such as San Isidro, the patron saint of the capital and headquarters of Mahou, Madrid. It also collaborates with trendy celebrities such as actors, actresses, singers, footballers, comedians, youtubers and influencers from the world of Instagram and TikTok, among others.
As an avant-garde brand, Mahou has also wanted to reflect its innovative spirit in its labels, as well as in its social networks and advertising campaigns. For this reason, it periodically renews the design of the labels of its classic beers and for almost 50 years has relied on Rieusset to print these.

The latest label revamping by Mahou, one of our most prominent clients, was carried out in May of this year. These labels have been printed in our Rieusset facilities, located in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, using the rotogravure technique.
Mahou’s new label design maintains the essence that makes the brand unique, with its iconic five stars, the distinctive red and gold colors, and its legendary logo. However, Mahou has sought to give an even more premium touch to its labels, and at Rieusset we made it possible to turn that vision into a reality.
To achieve this, we have changed the weight of the paper, giving it more body and a more exclusive look. The red color of the label has been intensified and now has a matte finish that enhances its sophistication. However, what really stands out in these new labels is their unmistakable and elegant gold color.
We have used a very special gold ink to achieve the highest quality finish. The combination of the matte red with this gold creates a spectacular appearance that not only beautifies the label, but also perfectly conveys the image of quality and innovation that Mahou wanted. This premium touch perfectly reflects the values of quality and distinction that characterize the brand.
