Lanjarón and its special labels
Lanjarón mineral water isn’t only known for its characteristic red label or its more than 200 years of history, but also for its special labels, which we have had the opportunity to produce on some occasions.
The brand’s latest special edition was for the Latin Grammy Awards 2023, one of this year’s most important Latin and Spanish language music award ceremonies, which took place in Seville, marking the first time in the history of this event that this ceremony is held outside the United States.
Lanjarón was the official water of the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, something that does not surprise us, as Lanjarón has always shown its support for Latin art and musical culture. Furthermore, this sponsorship highlights the importance of the roots of the Andalusian territory and its culture, elements that have always been fundamental to the brand’s identity.
This is explained by Alexandra Montañés, marketing director for Water at Danone Iberia, in an interview for Marketingdirecto.com. “This extraordinary partnership will allow us to make the culture of flamenco more visible, following our goal of connecting the extraordinary origin of our water with the culture of Andalusia and its unique roots. The Latin GRAMMY® Awards are a window to international exposure that will allow us to make our Andalusian origin and culture available to the music industry worldwide.
Rieusset prints Lanjarón’s special edition for the Latin Grammy Awards 2023
At Rieusset we have had the pleasure to print the labels for our long-standing client Lanjarón’s special Latin Grammy Awards edition. As this was a short print run, we used digital printing, which is perfect for this type of occasion.
The design of the label maintains its characteristic red color and its logo that makes reference to the Sierra Nevada. With simplicity and elegance, the label includes the name of the event “Los Latin Grammys”, the year of the edition “Edition 2023” and, of course, the name of the city where it is held, “Sevilla”. Two different typographies are combined; the name of the event, in capital letters, navy blue and thicker, to highlight it; and the name of the city, which looks like calligraphy, finer and more sophisticated in white.
This special label is one more example of the trend that has been on the rise over the past few years: special editions of labels for events and festivals. The growth of festivals and music events has coincided with the constant presence of beer, soft drinks and water brands at these events. It is not uncommon to see them as official sponsors (as in the case of Lanjarón and the Latin Grammys), as festivals have become the perfect venue for connecting with consumers. As we know, advertising is more effective when it is less intrusive, so sponsorship of festivals and music events is a perfect tool for establishing an emotional bond with attendees without resorting to invasive marketing strategies.
Lanjarón’s labeling customization strategy
Lanjarón has designed special labels for its bottles on more than one occasion. Rieusset is one of Lanjarón’s label production partners, both for special editions and for its timeless bottles. One of the best known and most acclaimed cases is the famous solidarity label that pays tribute to the groups that were essential during the Covid-19 crisis, for which we were in charge of printing the labels, which included 2,500 different designs.
